What Is Your First Chakra

Muladhara Chakra | The Root SUPPORT

True belonging is the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone in the wilderness. True belonging doesn’t require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.

What Is Your First Or Muladhara chakra?

The first chakra is located in the perineum and the base of the spine. The nadis (energy lines) run down the legs and into the feet. Yang in nature, our foundational chakra symbolises our connection to our body and the physical plane.

How does it feel to be balanced in Your First Chakra?

When someone is balanced in their root centre, they are grounded and present in their lives. They are able to take care of themselves and their family with essentials like food and shelter. Energetically Muladhara is the space that releases the downward current energy in our bodies which is needed to be able to manifest ideas. This means that someone with a strong first chakra is able to bring into fruition their dreams. Fundamentally these people feel safe and at home in their bodies.

First chakra in nature

There is deep wisdom within our very flesh, if we can only come to our senses and feel it.

Elizabeth A. Behnke

how does it feel to be imbalanced in muladhara?

When someone is depleted in Muladhara energy there is a sense that they are unstable and unable to focus. They can be fearful and anxious individuals who have lost connection to their animal instincts. They can also feel shameful of their menstruation and primal sexuality. When someone has an excess of Muladhara energy they can feel dense and “stuck”, unable to move forward in their lives.

pranayama

Ujjayi pranayama, translating to the victorious breath, is a simple practice that can quickly anchor your awareness into the physical body and into immediate presence. If you are unfamiliar, we recommend watching Sian’s free tutorial!
