“The shadow is the greatest teacher for how to come to the light.”

Ram Dass

The burnout is REAL at the moment. Whether it be the heaviness of never ending lockdowns, the pressure of keeping it together to take care of our loved ones, or just the general state of the world, there are so many reasons why you might be sensing your vibration low and radiance dimmed.

Sadhana

Incorporating a daily spiritual practice into your routine is a tangible way to refill your cup, release blocked emotions in the body and cultivate a more loving state of being.

We invite you to use this seven Day Sadhana as a way to reset, reconnect and recharge your body.

❖ rise early ❖

Set your alarm an hour earlier than you normally would. There is something so magical about starting your morning when the world is still quiet and sleeping. Especially if it means you have some space and time to yourself to welcome the Sacred into your day.

❖ tongue scrape & brush teeth ❖

Remove toxins that have built up in your mouth during your night’s sleep and enjoy a fresh, clean palate.

3 rounds of om

Come to a space in your home that feels separate from work. Begin in a comfortable seat on a cushion and take 3 deep breaths in the nose and out the mouth. When you are ready, chant 3 rounds of Om to create a sacred container for your sadhana. If you live with other people who are not into a deep resonant primordial vibration as an alarm, your rounds can be silent and internal. If consecration (a sacred Tantric practice you can find on our Online Studio) is in your practice, you can include here.

❖ intuitive movement ❖

Begin to move your body in a way that feels good. This could start with neck rolls and move into gentle cat & cow. You might open up into downward facing dog to stretch the backs of the legs. Allow the movement to evolve and to spread energy into parts of the body that feel sticky or tight. Option to play a song that feels juicy and fluid to encourage an easeful flow of movement. 5 mins

❖ shaking ❖

It is time to put on a song that gets you in touch with your primal energy so that you can SHAKE IT OUT. Use deep breaths in the nose and out the mouth as you shake your entire body. Try to keep the shake going for the whole song. To stay present in your practice we invite you to bring to mind a situation/person/emotion that you want to release from your body. Give yourself a couple of minutes after your intense shaking to move the body gently in an intuitive sway to soften into any emotions/release that arises. We have a wide variety of Shake & Release practices available on our Online Studio! 5 mins

❖ meditation ❖

We recommend this free Breath Stillness Meditation by TLC founder, Sian Pascale. This is your time to ground your energy, connect to the infinite stillness that resides within your being and become intimate with your own breath. 15 mins

❖ drink ❖

Lovingly prepare yourself a big warm glass of filtered water with lemon to hydrate your body.

6 Step Guide to Dry Body Brushing.jpeg

Dry brush, oil massage & shower

Dry Brushing is a beautiful ritual to promote lymphatic drainage, stimulate blood flow and increase energy. The TLC gang all use Stass & Co’s Body Brush. Depending on your preference, you can lovingly massage warm coconut oil into your skin before OR after your shower.

❖ ELIXIR ❖

Prepare your morning elixir with loving hands. We use ceremonial grade cacao mixed with a pinch of cinnamon and some natural raw honey to sweeten. Or you might prefer an oat milk chai with a teaspoon of Shatavari.

intention setting & gratitude

Enjoy your delicious elixir while you write out your intention for the day. This might be a specific goal, or maybe to embody a particular state of consciousness. We also invite you to thoughtfully list 3 things that you are grateful for in that very moment. It could be as simple as seeing the sunrise through your window. Allow yourself to be receptive to whatever flows up in the moment.

After 7 days of showing up for yourself and committing to your sadhana, notice the shifts you begin to experience in your mood and energy levels. We won’t be surprised if you decide to continue your sadhana journey :)
