“These practices allow you to experience your own energy on such an intimate and deep level. And of course, Sian was a huge reason I signed up”

Claire Kenna @clairekenna

Are you a yoga teacher, meditation teacher, healer, wellness practitioner? What is your offering?
Energy practitioner –  1:1 energy healings, cacao ceremonies. Also yoga and meditation teacher.

What 5 words gives the best description of your teaching style?
Intuitive, connected, nourishing, expansive, heart-centred.

What motivated you to take part in The Method? How have you found taking on a daily Sadhana?

I was drawn to the TLC Method to expand, to learn to grow. These practices allow you to experience your own energy on such an intimate and deep level. And of course, Sian was a huge reason I signed up -  her teachings are authentic and delivered from her heart.

Sian is a beautiful and supportive mentor who is genuinely committed to her students' growth.
Taking on a daily Sadhana has been challenging - it’s been a big commitment and has tested my self-discipline – however, the work has been incredibly rewarding.

Have you experienced change since starting the Method?
So many! It has been the power of a daily ritual that has most positively impacted my life. It has become a time when I return to my heart's wisdom and feel it's truth. I now make decisions based on how I feel rather solely on what I think = BIG, beautiful game-changer in life!

What is your connection to the practice of yoga, pranayama, mantra & meditation?
My practice is a time where I connect with myself truthfully – it’s a time of self-exploration – a time of feeling - a time of being.

What does community mean to you?
True community for me is when you feel genuinely supported, held and safe to express the truth of who you are with others and in that environment. Community is life-blood for the human spirit and an essential ingredient to foster growth and connection.

Can you recommend any inspiring books, documentaries or podcasts?
Anything by Brene Brown, 'The Untethered Soul' (Michael A Singer) and of course – 'A Course in Miracles' (and/or the adaptation 'A Return To Love' by Marianne Williamson)

Are you glad you took part in the Method? what will you continue or change after the mentorship?
Incredibly grateful for the TLC mentorship – these teachings have enriched my life (well beyond the mat) and I have gained some life-long friendships in this community.

“I feel more grounded, connected and authentic”

Are you a yoga teacher, meditation teacher, healer, wellness practitioner? What is your offering?
Im a Yoga Teacher and a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I teach vinyasa and yin but love integrating the tantric teachings into my classes.

What 5 words gives the best description of your teaching style?
Strong, breath, alignment, mindful, playful

What motivated you to take part in The Method? How have you found taking on a daily Sadhana?
I had been longing for more teacher training, and in particular someone who would push me and my practice out of my comfort zone.  After following the physical practice for many years i was ready to dive into the teachings of pranayama, mantra and meditation.  When Sian offered the mentorship i felt it was the perfect training for me.  Taking on a daily Sadhana has been challenging, but so rewarding.

Have you experienced change since starting The Method?
Since taking on the mentorship I feel more grounded, connected and authentic and my teaching has definitely changed! I have experienced a lot of resistance throughout the mentorship but have managed to see the resistance simply as information and an opportunity for self enquiry. The mentorship has also given me a whole new 'tool box' of pranayama and Kriya to work with.

What is your connection to the practice of yoga, pranayama, mantra & meditation?
I came to yoga, like most people, for the physical aspect, the asana. My personal practice now is pretty much everything but!!

What does community mean to you?
Support & connection. Having a group of people who support each other, inspire each other and keep things real.

Are you glad you took part in the Sadhana, what will you continue or change after the mentorship?
So glad! I will keep up a daily Sadhana and am looking forward to the flexibility of choosing which practices I will use on a day to day basis.

“I don’t think I have sufficient words to describe how grateful I am to Sian. She is such a gifted teacher of teacher’s. She lives and breathes her practices and has dedicated her life to learning and passing on these wonderful, ancient teachings so that we can continue to share in a very authentic way.”

Are you a yoga teacher, meditation teacher, healer, wellness practitioner? What is your offering?
I am a yoga teacher -Hatha, Aerial, Yin, Restorative. I am also a Craniosacral Therapist.

What 5 words gives the best description of your teaching style?
Nurturing, playful, soulful, energetic and loving.

What motivated you to take part in The Method? How have you found taking on a daily Sadhana?
After studying with Sian in both “The Soulful Master Training” and “The Chakra Master Training”, I was so eager to learn more about the ancient tantric practices that Sian so graciously shares. I had also met some incredibly beautiful, like-minded teachers/healers in the trainings and really wanted to continue on connecting with not only Sian and Natalie but all of the gorgeous souls that make up “The Light Collective”. It can get a little lonely teaching/practicing at times and is so helpful to be able to share our experiences as a group. As for the daily Sadhana practice, well I could write a book here but will try to keep it brief. It has been an amazing experience to have such a dedicated, ritualistic practice. It has been tough at times trying to juggle family, work, life, however have just loved being told what to do for each month and observing the effects on me physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically!

Have you experienced change since starting the mentorship?
Most definitely! The biggest change for me in teaching and healing is that my intuition has gone through the roof! Learning about “Consecration” has been a huge game changer for me and my connection to students/clients. I never get bored teaching as I now have so many tools to weave into my classes with the myriad of pranayama, mantra and kriya that we have learnt so far and we are only into month 7!

What is your connection to the practice of yoga, pranayama, mantra &meditation?
Yoga has been part of my life since my early 20’s. Now that I am approaching 45, I am naturally being drawn to meditation. I look back and wished that I had meditated when I was younger, but I really believe that these things happen in their own sweet time. The pranayama is such an important part of any yoga practice as without the breath, we have no yoga, we have no life. The wonderful aspect about pranayama techniques is that anyone can practice these. We don’t have to contort our bodies into shapes to practice. As for mantra’s; well these are still relatively new to my practice, however I love the way chanting stimulates the vagal tone of the body to relax, uplift and connect. It feels like a devotional practice.

What does community mean to you?
Everything!! And the last 7 months have definitely shown me this. I think this is also why I love teaching so much as I always feel part of the community. To me human connection is everything!

Can you recommend any inspiring books, documentaries or podcasts?

Are you glad you took part in the Sadhana, what will you continue or change after the mentorship?
I am beyond glad, in fact I don’t think I have sufficient words to describe how grateful I am to Sian. She is such a gifted teacher of teacher’s. She lives and breathes her practices and has dedicated her life to learning and passing on these wonderful, ancient teachings so that we can continue to share in a very authentic way. I actually don’t want the mentorship to end!! However, I look forward to putting together my own Sadhana daily rituals and see how that goes or I may even repeat each month’s practice to see how I respond and to really ground myself into the new year. And of course I will go on studying with “The Light Collective” at any given opportunity and will continue to hang out with my gorgeous new friends.

Are you a yoga teacher, meditation teacher, healer, wellness practitioner? What is your offering?
Yoga teacher. I also work in the corporate world and try ever day to integrate my practice and the yoga philosophy i have learned into my work as well as classes whenever and wherever I  can.

What 5 words gives the best description of your teaching style?
Honest, caring, felt, authentic and progressive (because I want you to progress and me to progress as a teacher so I can help us both - it’s an ongoing cycle - as you expand I expand and as I expand you expand)

What motivated you to take part in The Method? How have you found taking on a daily Sadhana?
I felt drawn towards and very connected to Sian since the first time I stumbled across her teachings a year and a half ago. I didn’t think deeply about doing it, it just felt like a natural progression.

The daily Sadhana has taught me a lot about myself, what motivates me, helps me, challenges me. It has been very tough at times and the obstacles are very real, but, you continue because to me a life without spiritual practice is a life of frustration and a life without depth.  The benefits of daily practice are cumulative and consistency is the key.

Have you experienced change since starting The Method?
Yes, I have absolutely experienced a shift in my personal practice and my teaching has grown. I now have so much more confidence (and many many more practices) to share what I have learned with others when and wherever I can in settings that are far removed from a “yoga studio”

The mentorship has reinforced that beyond the Sadhana the practice of yoga is interwoven into life. There is joy to be felt and through regular practice the joy for life expands;  I simply want to share that with others.

“I have more dedication to my practice now than ever before. After a long break from yoga the mentorship has continued to spark my own light to continue on this journey of knowing the mind, the soul and humanity.”

What is your connection to the practice of yoga, pranayama, mantra & meditation?
This is a big question and for me the connection feels lifetimes old. Ultimately all the practices for me are about creating a state of internal equilibrium of peace and joy. They help me move through life not being so affected by the world around me and to be able to sit with my own mind and not let it control me with repetitive thoughts when anxiety arises. When things are tough there are these incredible tools that can guide you and shift your perspective and Prana and when times are joyful your joy spreads to others.
